Market closes the session slightly stronger $VXc1

- Markets were apprehensive overnight as investors look to the Fed and their pending banking Stress Test results that are to be released later in the week. The market is expecting to see improving balance sheets as a further sign of an improving economy
- The market traded with a guarded tone overnight with consumer staples and utilities leading the gains on the S&P500. Financials and energy which have led the gains for much of the year lagged
- Disney managed to make small gains despite the disappointing opening of much hyped movie John Carter. The $250 Million film took $30 Million on its opening weekend
- Commodity stocks Newmont and Schlumberger fell 1.99% & 2.4%
- Leading the gains on the Dow was XOM and MRK up 1.48% & 1.33%
- DOW 0.29%, S&P500 0.02% and NASDAQ –0.16%
- USD was weaker against most majors and AUD was softer overnight
- Gold fell 0.8% on a report spec demand has softened. Crude fell 0.9%
